Franklin Graham Issues Warning for America Following Las Vegas Shooting

The Rev. Franklin Graham has issued a warning to America following the deadly Las Vegas shooting that left 59 dead and over 500 wounded. In a Facebook post, Graham said that evil is a universal problem that affects each of our hearts.

“Evil exists in the world today and the Bible warns us that ‘because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold.’ (Matthew 24:12),” Graham wrote, quoting from the Bible.

Graham went on to say that the kind of violence and evil on display in Las Vegas earlier this week is indicative of a generation that has turned its back on God.

“Our nation is in trouble, and only God can heal the human heart. That’s why Jesus Christ came – to pay the penalty for our sins and to offer forgiveness through faith in Him,” Graham continued, offering hope.

OneNewsNow.com reports that, earlier this week, Graham also wrote a Facebook post in response to former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s comments following the Las Vegas shooting.

“The crowd fled at the sound of gunshots – imagine the deaths if the shooter had a silencer, which the NRA wants to make easier to get,” Clinton posted on Twitter following the Las Vegas shooting. “Our grief isn’t enough. We can and must put politics aside, stand up to the NRA, and work together to try to stop this from happening again.”

Graham condemned Clinton’s capitalizing on the tragedy to further her political agenda, while he praised President Trump’s response:

“What’s the difference between Hillary Clinton & Donald J. Trump as president? Well, there are many. But it is impossible not to notice the difference in response to the crisis of the Las Vegas shooting massacre yesterday. Hillary immediately – and ineffectively – tried to make it about gun control, her agenda. President Trump brought comfort from God’s Word and pointed America to the importance of prayer. I’m thankful millions noticed the difference.”
